2020/10/25 Update
Hello!
I am trying to go back to writing my weekly email. It will be in a form of small updates. I was not that consistent before with my email and hopefully this time I can write more consistently.
What I Did This Week
I Had a call with Jonathan Borichevskiy
I knew him from Twitter and I reached out to him because I thought that his blog has an amazing feature where he put hypothes.is on it. With hypothes.is you can create an interaction on your own website.
We talked about note-taking, how our thoughts are scattered all over the place because we use a lot of apps without any central integration between them, and about how it’s really hard to talk online in a huge group.
I gave Roam Research Another Try
I have been using Bear Notes for my second brain alongside Andy Matuschak script to back it up and create a backlink between notes. It was fine but sometimes it feels pretty hard to see the connection between all of my notes.
Because I was a beta user of Roam I still have access to my old data and I can still use it. It has been fun to write in Roam, I still have to learn a lot of things inside it. Currently, I just use it for note-taking and my daily to-dos.
I Worked on a Huge and Difficult Feature at Work
I have been working on a really difficult task at work for the whole week. It’s my first time creating this kind of feature. I learned a lot so I guess it is a good thing for me. Most of the problems come from mobile browser and it was really frustrating. I realized that finishing something can give you a boost of confidence.
What I Consumed This Week
Books
I have started many books and jumped between those books lately. I think that this new way to read books suits me really well. I get bored easily so reading many books at a time seems a really reasonable way for me to read.
Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman
The Master Switch by Tim Wu
The Fish That Ate the Whale by Rich Cohen
I am planning to read more about histories or biographies.

From the book Meditations
Don't assume something is impossible because you think it's hard.
Don't take things that you can't control and label them as good or bad. We might blame other people when something bad happens to you and something good does not happen to you. Only label good or bad to the things that we can control.
Plan for the week ahead
Continue reading the books that I currently read. All of the books are really good and I am planning to finish them before the month ends (except Antifragile, it’s a tough book to read).
Finish watching Silicon Valley. Currently, I am on season 5.
Take a break from work because I will have a holiday from this Wednesday through Sunday.

That is all from this week. Thanks for reading and see you on the next one!
